To be honest, the book scared me a little. As we read, we follow Sarah's life as she plunges through, seeing all the horrors around her in daily life but too fearful to say a word. On the accidental occasion she does, she is immediately beaten and her previous life taken away. She continues on, finding an underground civilization of a few others and lives, but still the government looks for her to kill them. As Sarah barely clings on to life in her world, she faces even more difficulties. The idea of this fascist society created by those only seeking to harm its residents is a frightening thought. We see the world Sarah lives in where the less fortunate will remain that way and are forced to survive through begging, as they have no way to earn a living since their 'code' is rendered useless. It chills me when I think about what it would be like if I were the one living in Sarah's world.
I really enjoyed this short book. It's an easy read and quick, but nevertheless full of depth and ideas. It really builds on the fact that a 'perfect world' proclaimed by the higher authorities isn't always as it seems, and sometimes it takes someone above the simpler thought to try and break free of these problems. This book has provided a realm of different thinking and has made me realize how lucky I am to live in the world that I do. We see through Sarah that it is always best to try and live on, even when conditions are harsh and survival seems near impossible.

I could not stop reading the book! I was so deeply immersed in this modern day "1984".I couldn't help but to be captivated by the descriptive details, moving passages, and horrifying events! If you have ever wondered what it felt like to be completely controlled by a government,or maybe even a fan of "1984" and just want a modern day version? Then this book is HIGHLY recommended!Check it out for yourself!
21 erased has an amazing plot. It felt like it all went by very fast at some parts, and I would have loved it if it had a slower pace at parts, simply so that I could more easily savor the details of it all. It takes place in a world that is far from the one as we know it but close to the one that we can imagine. I found it to be a thrilling, if short, read and would certainately recommend it to others who enjoy sci-fi type of books, mysteries, and books with a hint of horror in them
It's easier and easier to imagine how this could happen. It wasn't the type of book I usually read, but I'm so glad had it available. It was a combination of the Bible meets Stephen King meets Alfred Hitchcock.
I enjoy reading dystopia style books and after doing a search on , I found this book. I ordered it and was very excited to get it, but after receiving it, I was already disappointed in its length. (I hadn't realized it was only 82 pages long.) I felt the book itself was over-sized, and the double spacing only made it seem more child-like.
I also did not know that the book was self published and only realized this after seeing so many editing errors throughout the book. Words misspelled, words used incorrectly, and even words omitted. I can handle a bad story but bad editing turns me off instantly.
The thing is, it wasn't a bad idea for a story. It had great potential, but lacked so many things. It had poor character development, and I was often confused on which character was talking. I also didn't feel like it was finished at the end. Some books can leave you in suspense, wondering what happens after the book concludes, but this just made me annoyed by its lack of closure; it left far too many questions at the end.
The writing style reminded me of a high school creative writing class. Great idea, but not professional in the least. Unfortunately, "21 Erased" was a book I never would've spent my money on, had I been able to read my own review.
21 Erased seems to have magic that kept me from straying away. When I was done reading the prologue, I felt that I had to keep on reading until I reach the last page - which is what happened.
I am not a fan of science fiction but 21 Erased is different. It was exciting and even had me holding my breath at some parts. I was so immersed in the story that I felt that I was a character there - watching the story unfold. It was like watching a suspense movie. Your heart thumps, your skin gets goose bumps, your pulse rate goes fast, and after a few pages everything goes back to normal - until you reach the exciting parts again. This feeling I experience while reading the book is like riding a roller coaster blind folded. You never know what happens next and this is what makes your adrenaline rush!
Everything was fast paced which is I guess the reason why I could not drop the book and finished it in one sitting. The author's style made the book very easy to read and understand unlike other science fiction books that can sometimes be a pain to read through. I definitely recommend 21 Erased to anyone who wants to feel their adrenalines rush while sitting down and reading a book.
